Directorate General of North Al Sharqiyah Governorate honours winner of Holy Qur’an competition
The Directorate General of Education in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate celebrated the honouring of the winners of the Holy Qur’an competition in the governorate’s schools for the academic year 2021/2022 in the Wilayat of Ibra.
The ceremony included the presentation of samples of the readings of the winning students in the different levels of the competition, in addition to a visual presentation that reviewed the competition process at the school level.
At the conclusion of the occasion, His Excellency Sheikh Ali bin Ahmed Al Shamsi, Governor of North Al Sharqiyah , honoured the students and the supervisory committee.
It is worth mentioning that the ceremony comes after the governorate’s education won first place in the competition at the level of the educational governorates in the Sultanate of Oman, where a number of students from the governorate won first places in the various levels of the competition.
Implementation of developmental programmes gets monitored in Al Wusta Governorate
Officials of a number of government agencies in Al Wusta Governorate discussed the importance of the concerned institutions in following up on the implementation of developmental programmes of all kinds, in addition to following up on plans and programmes developed and implementing them in practice, and the importance of preparing periodic reports and measuring relevant indicators in each institution.
This came during a meeting held by Sheikh Ma'aded bin Mohammed Al Yaqoubi, Governor of Al Wusta, with officials of government institutions and concerned authorities in Al Wusta Governorate, within the framework of continuous coordination between institutions in the governorate.
During the meeting, they reviewed the presentation prepared by the Al Wusta Governorate Police Command on stray animals and solutions that can reduce road accidents, as well as a visual presentation to the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority on the financing programme system.
The meeting reviewed the measures taken regarding the Women's and Society's Second Forum in Al Wusta Governorate, which will be held next November in the Wilayat of Haima, in addition to emphasising the importance of concerted efforts and raising the pace of coordination between various authorities to improve services and simplify procedures.
Health, social issues discussed in Al Dhahirah Governorate
Members of the health and social committees in the Wilayat of Yanqul in Al Dhahirah Governorate discussed issues related to the health sector and social services in the wilayat .
During the meeting, which was held under the chairmanship of His Excellency Sheikh Saif bin Abdullah Al-Maamari, the Wali of Yanqul, the head of the two committees, the members discussed the accession of Yanqul Health City to the network of health cities and the remaining procedures to complete registration and form the main committees.
The meeting also discussed the role of the Elderly Appreciation Center in the wilayat , its services provided to the elderly and its future plans, in addition to following up on the progress of the comprehensive national survey for vector borne diseases in the wilayat , and the efforts of the Directorate General of Health Services in Al Dhahirah Governorate to enhance awareness and cooperation among community members with field health teams.
The meeting also dealt with preparations for organising the march, which is scheduled to be implemented at the end of this month, in cooperation with a walking team, targeting the elderly. This comes in conjunction with the Gulf campaign of the Gulf Health Council with the aim of enhancing the social and health aspect of the elderly.
Health Committee meets in the Wilayat of Muttrah in Muscat Governorate
The Health Committee in the Wilayat of Muttrah discussed a number of topics, including the health services provided in the Wilayat, the educational programmes implemented, and the efforts made by the committee and various health institutions.
The committee also discussed the issue of the Mina Health Center, which started its work in a number of specialties and intensified the awareness campaign to limit the spread of narcotics and psychotropic substances, in addition to the recommendations approved in the previous meeting and what was taken regarding them.
This came in a meeting of the committee, which was held under the chairmanship of Sayyid Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Busaidi, Deputy Wali of Muttrah, and in the presence of Dr. Thamra bint Said Al Ghafri, Director General of Health Services in Muscat Governorate, and members of the committee for the national awareness campaign to combat drugs and psychotropic substances.
