Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) will conduct an investigation into the incident of a fan entering the football pitch during the match between Omani Seeb Club and Bahraini Al Riffa Club which was held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 in Muscat Governorate.

ROP said in a statement: "The Royal Oman Police followed the video clip circulating on social media about a fan entering the stadium during the match that brought together the Omani Seeb Club and the Bahraini Al Riffa Club, and confirms that the circumstances of the incident will be investigated and the necessary measures will be taken."

In a video that was circulated on social media, it showed a fan entering the football pitch before the final match between the Seeb Club and Bahrain’s Al Riffa Club, which was held yesterday in the Governorate of Muscat. When the fan was taken out of the pitch, one of the policemen hit the fan in the face, which angered the fans.
