His Majesty the Sultan, King Abdullah II of Jordan hold talks

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik held an official session of talks with King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan at Al Alam Palace on Tuesday.

At the outset of the session, His Majesty the Sultan hailed the King’s visit to the Sultanate of Oman. He wished King Abdullah II and his accompanying delegation a pleasant stay. On his turn, the Royal guest expressed his sincere sentiments and appreciation for the warm reception and hospitality accorded to him by His Majesty the Sultan.

During the session, the two monarchs reviewed the march of deep-rooted relations binding Oman and Jordan. It also touched on various aspects of cooperation with a view to enhancing fraternal ties and the Omani and Jordanian people’s aspirations for progress and prosperity.

The two leaders also discussed regional and international developments.

The official session of talks was attended from the Omani side by HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, HH Sayyid Asa'ad bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs, Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu'mani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister (Head of the Mission of Honour), Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Oufi, Head of the Private Office and Sheikh Hilal bin Marhoon Al Ma’amari, Ambassador of Oman to Jordan.

Meanwhile, it was attended from the Jordanian side by Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince of Jordan, Dr. Bisher Al Khasawneh, Prime Minister, Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Jaafar Hassan, Director of the King’s Office and Amjad Al Qahaiwi, Ambassador of Jordan to Oman.
