Muscat: Oman Environmental Service Holding Company (be’ah), the state-owned waste management operator in Oman, announced that ahlibank with Synergy Consulting will act as financial advisers on Phase 2 of its Industrial Waste Treatment Facility (IWTF) in Sohar, Oman.

The financial advisory engagement will see ahlibank and Synergy Consulting, developing a detailed financial model and commercial feasibility analysis to ensure sound implementation of IWTF Phase 2. The services provided by the reputable bank & prestigious consulting agency will ensure appropriate funding and alignment with the strategic and operational objectives set by be’ah.

With the second phase of the IWTF project being implemented, be’ah aims to create an integrated treatment facility to manage and treat industrial and non-industrial hazardous wastes in Oman. The new facility will provide advanced waste management capabilities that enable the implementation of be’ah’s waste sector strategy.

Moreover, this crucial project will help Oman capture its full potential for industry development and diversification, by providing increased waste management capacity, to the highest standards, in Oman.

The IWTF project was designed to be implemented in phases, with phase 1 already operational and consisting of three engineered landfills, one solidification plant and several storage facilities.
