Muscat: As many as 150 health establishments from Oman and abroad are taking part in Oman Health Exhibition and Conference, which kicked off here on Monday.

The opening ceremony of the event was held under the auspices of HH Sayyid Fahr bin Fatik Al Said.

The conference presents 50 scholarly papers in the medical field.

More than 60 speakers are delivering lectures focusing on the competence of health sector.

The three-day event sessions feature innovation in hospital services, the quality of health services, emergency cases within the context of modern medicine and challenges in related areas, including surgeries and anesthesia.

The exhibition lays emphasis on healthcare, curative tourism and hospital infrastructure as elements of sustainable development in the medical field.

Besides offering opportunities to explore medical products, services and consultancies, the exhibition showcases paediatric care products, dentistry services, lab equipment and prospects of development in physiotherapy and orthopaedic technology.

Oman Health Exhibition and Conference seeks to exchange expertise and innovative solutions aimed to spur growth in healthcare and associated technological and educational fields.

The event is organised by Oman Exhibitions Organizing Company (CONNECT), with backing from the Ministry of Health and Oman Medical Association.
