OHRC probe suspected child abuse case

Muscat: Oman Human Rights Commission (OHRC) has begun investigation regarding a video that was circulated on social media in which a child was subjected to physical abuse. The commission affirmed that the necessary measures are being taken.

 The Commission said in a statement: “The Oman Human Rights Commission monitored a video clip circulating on social media, about a child being subjected to physical abuse. The committee has communicated with the competent authorities, which are currently following up the case and examining its circumstances."
