Speaking about the exhibition, Dr. Qamra Said Al Sariri, Director General - Quality Assurance Centre, Ministry of Health said, “Establishing the Directorate General of Quality Assurance Center (DGQAC) has been a critical addition to the MoH in 2014. It has aided in deploying a strong quality management system to improve both service and staff performance across all levels. We are, therefore, ready to meet the needs of the next phase of Oman Vision 2040.
Patient safety
DGQAC is continuously raising the quality of healthcare services and patient safety in all institutions of the MoH by strongly adhering to international standards.
A vital factor complementing the system for continuous improvement was the Innovation Section (I.S). The I.S will continue to play a key role in building the innovation management framework that will encourage unique projects and intrapreneurship in MoH.
OHEC will provide us with an excellent opportunity to exchange lessons learned in healthcare and intrapreneurship, and simultaneously collaborate with key stakeholders locally and globally to set new benchmarks.”
Essential pillars
As one of the fastest-growing sectors in the world, the Sultanate acknowledges that healthcare goes beyond being an ethical or social imperative. It forms one of the most essential pillars that contributes to the long-term development of a nation’s economy and its sustained progress.
OHEC seeks to facilitate impactful discussions that will address pertinent issues, concerns and challenges in the sector while also highlighting viable methods to improve the healthcare ecosystem.
Saju George, Managing Director at alfarsi.me commented, “We are delighted to be able to participate in the Oman Health Exhibition & Conference 2022. Visitors to our booth will be able to discover over 10,000 products across the medical, dental and laboratory segments. We will also be featuring products under our homegrown, made-in-Oman brand, ‘trusta’. We look forward to welcoming our customers as well as meeting potential investors.”
Covering all aspects of healthcare, the exhibition will also have representatives from ZY Uniforms, a sister concern of Mehdi Stores. The company performs the critical role of supplying uniforms to all the major hospitals, clinics, hotels, restaurants as well as governmental units in Oman.
By driving high-level dialogue between industry experts, OHEC will be able to develop consensus in contentious areas, which will ultimately lead to better healthcare services in the Sultanate.
With a forward-looking agenda, the event is geared at promoting cooperation between individuals and institutions while further encouraging innovation in areas of technology, education, and policy-making.
Entry to the exhibition and conference is free of charge.
