Muscat: Oman's Ministry of Transport and Communication has started tunneling work in Wadi Al-Aqab on the Bidbid-Sur road dualisation.
"The implementation of tunnels was started on Wadi Al Aqab road, with a length of 450-600 metres," Eng. Salim Al Naimi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, said.
"This part includes three flyovers and two tunnels to serve the traffic activity for A'Dhahir, Al Wasil, Al Ghabbi, A'Shariq, Al Muntarib, Al Hawiyah and Helat Al Wabariyah villages in the Wilayat of Bidiyah," Al Nuaimi added.
An 18-kilometre long section of the dualised Bidbid-Sur road opened last month.
