Formation of Board of Trustees of Royal Academy of Management approved

Muscat: Blessed by the honorary patronage of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Council of Ministers has approved the formation of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Academy of Management.

The decision comes as Royal Decree number 2/2022 is implemented, establishing the Royal Academy of Management, defining its competences, and approving its organisational structure. It stipulates, in article six, that the Academy should have a Board of Trustees under the chairmanship of the Minister of Diwan of Royal Court, and the appointment of members and the terms of their membership be subject to the authority of the Council of Ministers.

Members of the Board of Trustees have been appointed for the next three years under the chairman, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court. The members are Dr. Said bin Mohammed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy as Vice Chairman, supported by the membership of Prof. Mahad bin Said bin Ali Baawain, Minister of Labour, and Sheikh Waleed bin Khamis Al Hashar, CEO of Bank Muscat, Ms.Khaula bint Hamoud Al Harthy, CEO of Injaz Oman and Dr. Hatem bin Bakhit Al-Shanfari, faculty member at the College of Economics and Political Science at Sultan Qaboos University.

Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court Chairman of the Royal Academy of Management, issued a statement in which he affirmed the vision of the Royal Academy of Management to be a beacon in executive leadership and management, inspired by the Royal Directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and fulfilling Oman’s vision for the future.

 He said the Academy’s plans and programmes are dedicated to implementing His Majesty’s directives in investing in Omani human capital and equipping them with knowledge and the latest practices to overcome future challenges.

His Excellency also stressed that the Academy would effectively contribute to the formulation of many future visions and insights with the aim of further developing the government system and public-private partnerships, seizing economic opportunities, and developing local management systems.
