Rashid Al Balushi appointed safety delegate in Acropolis rally in Greece

Muscat: Rashid Al Balushi has been given a chance by the FIA to be safety delegate (trainee) in Acropolis rally in Greece the 10th round of world rally championship to be held between 9 to 11 September 2022.

This appointment is a kind of appreciation to talented people from Oman, where they proved previously their skills in organising big events as technical managers and safety delegations adding to that the ability to work under pressure and in different atmospheres.

Rashid Al Balushi has been appointed by FIA previously as safety delegate since 2019 in Oman International Rally as one of the rounds of Middle East Rally championship and also been safety delegate in Qatar International Rally, Jordan

International Rally, Kuwait International Rally and Lebanon International Rally, where he gained a lot of experience and been selected at a further stage to represent FIA in Greece Acropolis rally as Safety Delegate Trainee.

He said, “I am very delighted and happy to represent Oman my country in this international event as first Omani person and GCCC to attend such big and prestigious event, I gained a lot of knowledge and experience and backup about the WRC work and roles and preparations and hope that in future i will transfer these kind of knowledge’s to my colleagues in Oman”.

He added, “I say thank you to every who has supported me to be here in Greece in this international event and hope to be a part of the team of organising committee in international rally.”
