Muscat: The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) has launched the second phase of domestic/home ambulance service.

The service is concerned with provision of ambulance medicare for injuries in traffic accidents with the support of civil defence services and health sector in the governorates of Muscat, North Al Batinah and Al Dakhiliyah.

The medical cases and domestic injuries responded to by the ambulance service staff are classified into an emergency and critical nature in the first place during which emergency ambulatory medical care of an advanced medical level is provided to citizens, residents and visitors.

Health institutions

They are then transferred to the closest and most appropriate public health institutions to them according to the assessment of the medical staff of the general health status of the case during the communication .

The emergency and serious medical cases to be responded to include the serious respiratory system diseases, serious heart diseases, serious injuries and fractures, sudden loss of conscious, overall and partial paralysis, severe bleeding, severe pains, acute nerve system diseases, severe electric shocks, acute toxicity, emergency psychiatric disorders, drowning cases, obstructed childbirth and severe burns.

It is worth mentioning that phase one of the service has been implemented in the governorates of Musandam, Al Dhahirah, South Al Sharqiyah, North Al Sharqiyah, Al Buraimi and Al Wusta.
