Cyclone heading towards India likely to intensify

Mumbai: A cyclone heading towards the eastern coast of India is likely to intensify in the next 12 hours, according to India's Meteorological Department (IMD).

Named 'Cyclone Fani', is currently over the Southeast Bay of Bengal.

In a statement the IMD said, "It is very likely to intensify into a Severe Cyclonic Storm during next 12 hours. It is very likely to move northwestwards till 30th and thereafter recurve northeastwards gradually."
