Ghubra: Indian Ambassador to Oman, His Excellency Amit Narang visited the Aster Royal Hospital‘s advanced Facilities during his official visit as a part of Hospital’s Zuwarat Aster Program.
Aster Royal Hospital, super specialty hospital was honored by Indian Ambassador His Excellency Amit Narang’s official facility visit before its soft opening. Aster Royal Hospital is located in the heart of the capital, Ghubra Muscat. His Excellency had a tour to all facilities of the new hospital including the state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit, radiology department, physiotherapy department, Modular Operation Theatres, Cath-Lab and the various Aster centre of excellences.
After the tour, His Excellency Amit Narang said ”I am excited to visit Aster Royal Hospital and I am so happy to know that various advanced procedures in Neurosurgery, Spine surgery and Oncology will now be available in The Sultanate of Oman. Oman-India relations will be further strengthened since many patients traveling to India for emergency treatment can now be treated at the Aster Royal Hospital in Oman rather than by airlift” Hospital grand tour was guided by the Hospital’s CEO, Dr. Ashendu Pandey and COO Dr Shinoop Raj along with the HR Director Ms. Nadiya Azghar Al Balushi.
Dr Ashendu Pandey CEO of Aster Hospitals said “There are certain platforms we are developing such as digital way finding, robot assisted services, RFID enabled patient tracking system, computer on wheels in IP for on-time records maintenance, integrated contact centre, augmented reality for patient education, AI enabled WhatsApp platform, to name a few which will help us to deliver a seamless quality of service. After launch, with association and approval from MOH Aster wishes to start organ transplantation. Surgical robotics will also be offered for urology, gastroenterology, and orthopaedic procedures at our hospital in Oman for the first time”
The advanced Hospital Information System with unified patient records feature will enable easy access to patient history for fast and accurate diagnosis around various Aster facilities across Oman. Hospital features a dedicated women floor with a modular Operation theater and post OP & pre OP facilities within the floor which can save time especially with pregnancy complications where time is of the essence. Aster Royal Hospital will have a fully equipped dialysis Centre which will help those patients suffering from chronic kidney diseases.
Aster Royal Hospital will have centers of excellence for Gastroenterology, Urology, Orthopedics, Obstetrics & Gynecology and Interventional Radiology & Stroke unit in addition to other super specialties equipped with all the advanced equipment and services. The hospital will feature state-of-the-art operation theaters and a cardiac catheterization lab. It is a purpose-built hospital that adheres to global standards of healthcare and has an expert panel led by Omani consultants and aptly supported by an international panel of doctors. Aster Royal Hospital will be the largest Private Hospital in the Sultanate of Oman with 200 inpatient beds.
