Muscat: A weak monsoon low in the North Arabian Sea can lead to thunderstorms in Oman from Wednesday through Friday, a global meteorologist said.
“There would be spotty thunderstorms in Oman,” Jason Nicholls, a senior meteorologist at Accuweather.com said.
Meanwhile, Oman’s meteorological department has tweeted on its official twitter handle about cloud movement towards Oman from Arabian Sea.
Indian meteorological department (IMD) has also confirmed the presence of broken low and medium clouds with intense to very intense convection lie over North East Arabian sea adjoining East Central Arabian sea.“Scattered low and medium clouds with embedded isolated moderate to intense convection lie over rest Arabian sea,” the IMD posted.
