
Muscat: Pakistan's Foreign Minister appealed for financial assistance after devastating floods swept through the country.
Oman News Agency (ONA) reported that Pakistan's Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that his country needs financial assistance to deal with massive floods, noting that he hopes financial institutions such as the International Monetary Fund will take into account the economic repercussions of such natural disasters.
Extremely heavy monsoon rains have caused devastating floods in both northern and southern Pakistan, affecting more than 30 million people and killing more than a thousand.
