His Majesty Sultan Qaboos issues Royal Decree

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said yesterday issued Royal Decree No. 34/2016 upgrading the Directorate of Awqaf and Religious Affairs in the Governorate of Dhofar to a Directorate General.
Article (1) states that the organisational level of the “Awqaf and Religious Affairs Directorate in the Governorate of Dhofar”, Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, shall be upgraded to the status of “Directorate General of Awqaf and Religious Affairs in the Governorate of Dhofar”.
Article (2) says that this Decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced on its date of issue.
