People urged to donate platelets in Oman

Muscat: The Department of Blood Banks Services (DBBS) has appealed to people with O+ and A+ to donate platelets.

"Due to the increased demand for platelets and the presence of a number of patients with pathological conditions that need platelets. You can contribute with us if your blood type is O+ or A+, you are invited to donate platelets," DBBS said in a statement.
