Parts of Oman to witness thunderstorms

Muscat: Thunderstorms are likely over Al Hajar Mountains and adjoining areas, and on parts of the Governorates of Dhofar and Al Wusta on Tuesday.

"The weather will be mainly clear skies over most of the governorates and there are chances of clouds formation and isolated thundershowers over Al Hajar Mountains and adjoining areas toward afternoon. There are partly cloudy to cloudy skies along the coastal areas of Dhofar governorate and adjoining mountains with intermittent drizzling and isolated rainfall," Oman Meteorology said in its daily weather forecast.

Oman Meteorology added that isolated thundershowers are predicted over desert areas of Dhofar and Al Wusta. Dust storms are likely over desert and open areas in Al Wusta and Dhofar.
