Thunderstorms predicted in parts of Oman

Muscat: The General Directorate of Meteorology said that cumulus clouds in parts of the Sultanate of Oman with chances of rains and thunderstorms are expected. It calls on Haima-Thumrait road users to exercise caution.

The directorate said in a statement: "Activity of cumulus clouds in parts of the governorates of Dhofar and Al Wusta, with chances of scattered rains and thunderstorms at times, which may be accompanied by active winds."

Sea state is rough with waves expected to reach (4.0 m) along the Arabian Sea coast and slight to moderate waves over the rest of the Sultanate's coast reaching (1.5m).
