Muscat: Adil Al Rahbi, Group Chief Transformation Officer (GCTO) of The Zubair Corporation, recently inaugurated a workshop highlighting the relation between employee’s performance and organizational success.
The workshop, titled, "The SMART Performance Management Process", was organised by the Zubair Corporation’s HR department at Bait Al Zubair, and saw a number of executives and line managers from different departments of The Zubair Corporation and its subsidiaries participating in the workshop.
With an aim to build a productive work environment based on a culture of high performance, the workshop aims to improve the quality of the performance management process and emphasises on the importance of linking employee performance with the objectives of the group companies.
Commenting on the workshop, Adil Al Rahbi said, “The Zubair Corporation seeks to launch several initiatives in the field of human capital management in order to enhance the culture of institutional performance. This can be achieved by unifying the efforts made towards achieving the future goals of the Group that are set by the corporation's board of directors. This workshop is part of a series of workshops that will be implemented according to a plan designed to change some of the perceptions associated with the performance management (PM) process. The workshop aims to change these perceptions related to PM process from being routine annual procedures to becoming an essential tool in the success and prosperity of any organization as well as being an effective tool for achieving continuous improvement for both the organization and the employee.”

Smart Performance Management Workshops were conducted in coordination with Extra Miles Company, specialized in human capital management services.
