Scrap intended for export seized in Oman

Muscat: Customs Affairs Department has seized quantities of scrap intended for export against the decisions and permits of the Environment Authority.

"During the inspections at the companies’ sites, the Customs Affairs Department seized quantities of scrap intended for export in contravention of the decisions and permits of the Environment Authority, the most prominent of which were aluminum, iron and batteries waste," Oman Customs said in a statement.
