LuLu launches India Utsav

LuLu Oman launched 'India Utsav' in celebration of 75 years of Indian Independence. The week-long festival, which coincides with the Independence Day celebrations on August 15, will showcase the rich and diverse culture, heritage, traditions and regional flavors of the country.

The festival was inaugurated by H.E Amit Narang, Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman, in the presence of a host of officials from the Indian community and LuLu dignitaries at Lulu Hypermarket, Baushar. The festival will be held till 17th August 2022 at selected Lulu outlets across the Sultanate.

The ‘India Utsav’ festival will offer customers a unique opportunity to experience Indian extravaganza in every category from fresh food and grocery to lifestyle and fashion. The festival will also showcase the close commercial ties between Oman and India. There will also be amazing promotions and offers on a wide range of Indian products on display. Special stalls will be set up to familiarize and promote Indian fresh produce and other food products.

Shoppers can experience the genuine flavors of India in a variety of dishes that speak for themselves in terms of the authenticity and rich history of India. There will be special stalls for customers to savor a selection of melt-in-the-mouth Indian sweets and snacks.

Speaking during the formal opening of the event, Mr. Shabeer K.A., Regional Director, Oman stated, “We are glad to organize India Utsav to showcase the beauty and diversity of Indian culture. It is also an opportunity for us to foster the cultural ties between Oman and India and strengthen and enrich the longstanding bilateral relations between the two countries. We have also flown in many exclusive Indian products from our network of food processing and logistics centres across India as part of the festival," he added.

The festival will showcase a wide range of food products, fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as meat and seafood. The event will allow the customers to enjoy many of the products that they have been accustomed to. Many branded garments will also be on offer during the festival. Shoppers can grab trendy fashion garments as well a unique collection of designer wear suitable for festivals and weddings for a complete Indian culture experience. To add entertainment to the overall shopping experience, various cultural programs and shows as well as live cooking demos and other fun activities will be held during the festival period.
