Survey conducted to measure public opinion of government service beneficiaries

Muscat: A survey was conducted to measure the opinions of beneficiaries of government services by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

The questionnaire aimed to assess the level of satisfaction with response to beneficiaries’ service requests and the time accomplishment of services.

In particular, the questionnaire explored beneficiaries’ level of satisfaction with government electronic services of relevance. It comprises a set of basic criteria like the preparedness of the service venue, the competence of the service’s staff, ease of procedures, speed of accomplishment, client treatment and the cost, quality and efficiency of the service.

The survey, carried out during the first half of this year, picked up a random sample of members of the public who frequent government departments in Oman. Information for this purpose is collected through the NCSI telephone system.

The move constitutes part of the NCSI’s role to tap public opinion and provide data and necessary indices about issues of concern to the general public.
