Services restored in South Al Batinah

Muscat: Almost 95 per cent of the roads affected by the weather conditions in South Al Batinah have been restored. Electricity, water, sewage, communications, fuel and waste services management are fully restored.

His Excellency Sheikh Dr Manson Talib Al Hanai, Chairman of the Services Regulatory Authority, Head of the Basic Services Sector of the National Emergency Management Committee, during a field visit to the affected areas in the wilayats of Rustaq and Al Awabi in South Al Batinah Governorate, was briefed on the progress of the sector’s work and the efforts made by the technical teams to restore services to the areas affected.

His Excellency indicates that the completion rate of the affected asphalt roads has reached more than 95 per cent and work is underway to reopen a number of dirt roads affected by a number of mountainous areas.
