Parts of Oman to witness rainfall for two days

Muscat: Parts of the Sultanate of Oman may witness rainfall of varying intensity for two days from Tuesday, August 2, 2022.

Oman Meteorology said in a statement: "Chances of cumulus clouds formation continue today and tomorrow on the Al Hajar Mountains and adjoining areas, with chances of thunderstorms of varying intensity accompanied by the flow of valleys. So please be careful while the valleys are full."

"There are chances of the formation of cumulus clouds and rainfall of varying intensity on the desert of Dhofar and parts of the deserts of Al Wusta today and tomorrow with opportunities for the activity of convective clouds on the coasts and mountains of Dhofar Governorate," Oman Meteorology added. 

"In view of the heavy rainfall expected today and tomorrow in the governorates of North and South Al Batinah, Al Dakhiliyah, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah, North Al Sharqiyah during the afternoon and evening, the authority calls upon everyone to adhere to the safety guidelines that guarantee the safety of lives and property, Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) said.
