Smuggling operation busted in Oman

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has foiled an attempt to smuggle more than 100 kilograms of hashish and a quantity of crystal drugs into the Sultanate of Oman.

"The Directorate General for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substance arrested three suspects of Asian nationality during the arrival of the smuggling boat, as they tried to hide the smuggled drugs by burying them on the beach. ROP seized with them more than 100 kilograms of hashish and a quantity of crystal drugs. The legal procedures are being completed against them, " ROP said in a statement.
