IHE  Team Qualifies for VISTA Finals

Muscat: The IHE team, ‘Team Aditya’, proudly make their way to the top finalists set to take part in the VISTA ((Volvo International Service Training) Technical competition finals in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The VISTA event is an international competition open to all Service Market professionals within the Volvo Trucks' and Volvo Buses' global service network. VISTA 2022 witnessed the presence of 4,300 Dealers from across the globe, with 153 teams from the Middle East, Africa and Turkey competing within the region.

Commenting on this achievement, Vijay Chandgude – Workshop supervisor said, “It is truly an honour to be part of the team and working together to achieve this incredible milestone. Despite the challenges and the presence of several other teams competing across the region, we successfully were able to prevail and qualify for the finals. On behalf of the team, we would like to thank IHE for this incredible opportunity in enabling us to showcase our skills and support in enhancing our calibre and providing us this opportunity.”

Team Aditya comprising of Mr. Ali Al Jabri, Mr. Vijay Chandgude, Mr. Chanbasha Shaikh and Mr. Anto Tekkekara, rose above the competition in the semifinals. After the first three tests that were conducted online, 6 out of the 153 teams made their way to the semi-finals, including ‘Team Aditya’. This stage comprised of four stations based on different topics with relevant technical challenges that required teamwork, analytical and problem-solving skills.

VISTA (Volvo International Service Training Award) is an international competition open to all Service Market professionals within the Volvo Trucks’ and Volvo Buses’ global service network. Currently, it is the world’s largest competition for Service Market personnel.

The competition aims to help employees develop and improve their knowledge, skills, and ability to work as a team. Participants take part in teams of two to four people. The competition starts with two parts of theoretical questions, which teams complete in their workshops. After these two parts, the best performing teams qualify for the World Semi-Final, conducted digitally this year. From the Digital Semi-final, 44 teams will qualify for the World Final in Gothenburg – the home of Volvo Trucks and Buses.
