Students of Indian School Muscat excel in CBSE board examination

Indian School Muscat displayed an outstanding performance in the  Grade X  and XII CBSE Board Examination for the academic year 2021-22.  In Grade X a total of 507 students appeared for the examination and have displayed an outstanding performance. 37 students secured A1 in all five subjects.  Sree Vallabh Goud Manga emerged as the school topper with 98.8 %.  Incredibly scoring 98%, Reyna Jeprison, Arka Roy Choudhury and Mohammed Mobasshir Akram shared the second position and the third position was proudly earned by Deepika Anbalagan scoring 97.8%. 

The school average soars with a 81.2%.  19 students scored a perfect score 100 out of 100, 28% students scored above 90%, 60% students scored above 80% and 82% students scored above distinction. Remarkably 7% students secured A1 in all five subjects, 27% A1’s in subjects’ appeared and 43% A1 and A2 grade together. The school average plummeted to 94% in Painting, 90% in Sanskrit, 88% in English Language and Literature, 87% in French, 86% in Malayalam and Arabic, 82% in Social Science, 80% in Science and Home Science, 79% in Hindi Course B, 77% in Elements of Business and Computer Applications, 74% in Mathematics Standard and 55% in Mathematics Basics.

64% of students secured A1 in Sanskrit, followed by 60% of students getting the A1 grade in Painting, 41 % secured A1 in English Language & Literature, 29% in Science, 24% in French and Mathematics Standard, 22% in Social Studies, 20% in Home Science, 17% in Mathematics Basic, 14% in Hindi Course B and Elements of Business, 11% in Malayalam and 8% of students scored A1 in Arabic.  Adding to the golden feathers 19 students scored centums, a perfect score of 100.

Grade XII results

In Grade XII of all the 437 students who appeared for the above examination, 20.1% of students secured overall A1.
In the Science Stream, Tejassree Mohanakrishnan, scored 97.8% and secured the first position and topped the school result. Sumairaa Khan and Rimaz Alam Khan bagged the second position with a score of 96.6%, and Anant Agrawal secured the third position with a score of 96.2%.

In the Humanities Stream, Sharlotte Carvalho bagged a whopping score of 97.4% and secured the first position, Aaron Arthur Menezes who scored 96.4% stood second and Aditi Shekar who scored 95.2% secured the third position. In the Commerce Stream, Svetlana Ruth D’souza stood first scoring 96.8 %. Close on her heels is Naisa Shetty B with a percentage of 96.4% in the second position followed closely by Ithi Arunkumar with 95.6% in the third position.

Another historic milestone is that eleven students took the lead by securing centum, 100 marks in various subjects.  President Indian School Muscat Management Committee, Mr. Sachin Toprani lauded the students for their brilliant, conscientious and sterling performance. He further extended heartfelt appreciation to the teachers and parents for their commitment and alliance that has always brought glory to the institution.
