As part of Kempinski Hotel Muscat's ongoing sustainability and corporate responsibility initiatives, the hotel held a press conference on Thursday, 21 July 2022 at the property to officially announce the collaboration between Kempinski Hotel Muscat's BE Health programme and the Association for Children with Disability.

General Manager Carsten Wiegandt, said, “it is our pleasure to be partnering with the local charity to support and give back to the community. Corporate social responsibility is of utmost importance to Kempinski hotels worldwide and is at the core of our business model. Only by collaborating with partners who share our values will we be able to achieve our ambitious goal - to celebrate the hospitality industry in a luxurious yet sustainable manner”.

BE Health's mission is to care for people's health from the workplace to the local community by establishing individual hotel health prevention programmes under the name of BE Health. In this programme, individual hotel objectives are achieved by building capacity through health promotion and prevention and empowering people at the workplace and in local communities through health awareness and promotion so that each will be able to protect themselves.

Her Highness, Sayyida Hujaija Al Said, said, “the goal of this agreement is to achieve the goals that the association seeks, and one of our most important goals is to support children with disabilities and help them in all areas of life to enable them to adapt and integrate into their society professionally, psychologically and socially, to care for the child and provide them with the best advanced services, in coordination with all parties, in order for them to have a decent life”.

The programme will support the local charity through a donation from hotel guests at check in, upon receiving confirmation from the guest. This amount will be donated to the association towards the end of the year to aid and assist in their own charitable efforts.
