Delegation visits OQ Group and Raysut Industrial Estate

Salalah: The media delegation comprising reporters from international news agencies, currently touring the Sultanate of Oman, visited Raysut Industrial Estate (Madayn) and OQ Group sites in the Governorate of Dhofar.

The delegation listened to a briefing by Salim Ali Zaabanut, Acting Director General of Raysut Industrial Estate, about Madayn and the services that the industrial hub offers to investors.

Zaabanut said that any investor from any part of the world can finalize business procedures online without being physically present at the premises of the industrial city. He added that all electronic services are made available via Masar centres operating from different industrial cities.

Then, the media delegation also visited Dhofar Fisheries Industries where they were briefed by the company’s General Manager Hamid Ali Al Nahdi, who explained that the unit provides the local market with high quality canned tuna and sardines. He added that the company exports to 17 countries, amid rising demand for Omani products which, he explained, abide by international standards and enjoy credibility, locally and abroad.

Later, the press agencies team visited OQ Group’s unit for liquefied petroleum gas and methanol, Governorate of Dhofar. Eng. Ihsan Al Jandal, CEO of OQ operations in Salalah, briefed the reporters about the activities of the group.

OQ unit serves as a new hub in Dhofar Governorate, said Eng. Ihsan, noting that the liquefied petroleum gas project assumes special significance and enhances the Sultanate of Oman’s status as a sustainable source of energy in the global market.
