Two expats arrested, drug haul busted by ROP

Muscat : The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has seized over 158 kilograms of hashish, 2,300 psychotropic tablets, along with marijuana and opium drugs found from two smugglers.

A statement issued online by ROP said: "The Directorate General for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substance , in cooperation with the Coast Guard Police, arrested two Asian infiltrators on charges of smuggling narcotics, and seized more than 158 kilograms of hashish, 2,300 psychotropic tablets, marijuana and opium with them. The legal procedures are being completed against them. "
