28 arrested for trying to enter Oman illegally

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP), has arrested 28 foreigners for attempting to enter the Sultanate of Oman illegally.

"Musandam Governorate Police Command arrested 28 infiltrators of different nationalities while they were trying to enter the country illegally by sea. The legal procedures are being completed against them," ROP said in a statement.

Two arrested for impersonation, theft

In another incident two persons have been arrested by the Royal Oman Police (ROP), for coercive theft and for impersonating others.

"The General Directorate of Inquiries and Criminal Investigation arrested two people on charges of forced theft and impersonation of others. They hailed the victim and reached an agreement with him to carry out work in their house, and when he went with them, they robbed the sums in his possession, " ROP said in a statement.
