Muscat: The State Council on Monday discussed several studies, namely “Empowering Omani Teachers,” “Legislative Frameworks on Mandatory Education in the Sultanate of Oman,” “Developing Small and Medium Enterprises: Challenges, Opportunities and Suggestions” and “Tech Start-ups: Their Status and Investment Milieu”.
The discussions came during the 6th regular session of the third annual convening for the seventh term of the State Council.
The Council’s members touched on the challenges facing teachers and the tasks they undertake.
The members also lauded the crucial role played by teachers in the educational process in Oman.
Sheikh Abdulmalik Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council, said that the long-term strategic development plan “Oman Vision 2040” focuses on Oman’s status and its prosperity, as well as the Omani people’s welfare while taking into consideration the country’s economic and human resources.
This can be realised through the constructive and legislative decisions taken by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to press ahead with nation building process amid international, environmental, health and security developments taking place worldwide and affecting the economies and plans of countries.
Al Khalili also highlighted the role of the State Council and its contribution to the Renewed Renaissance through recommendations, studies and legislative proposals which further support the realisation of Oman Vision 2040 goals.
