Commercial facility seized for selling expired paints in Oman

Muscat: The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) has seized a commercial facility for trading and selling quantities of expired paints in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate.

According to CPA, the Consumer Protection Department in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate was able to seize a commercial facility in the Wilayat of Al Kamel and Al Wafi that trades and sells expired paints, in violation of some articles of the Consumer Protection Law and its executive regulations.

The quantities of expired paints were confiscated in preparation for their destruction, in coordination with the authorities concerned in the governorate. Legal procedures are being completed against the violating facility to impose an administrative fine on it.
