Indian Rupee plunges to record low against Omani Rial

Muscat: The value of the Indian Rupee (INR) plunged to a new record low against the Omani Rial (OMR), bringing cheer to non-resident Indians in the Sultanate.

According to XE currency converter, 1 OMR was valued at INR 205 on Tuesday.

Indian nationals living in Oman can take advantage of the high exchange rate once they receive their salary at the end of the month and send more money to their families and friends back home.

Money exchange offices in Oman, however, were offering a rate of INR 204 per Omani Rial on Tuesday morning.
