Foreign Minister meets US Special Envoy to Yemen

Muscat: His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign, received His Excellency Tim Lenderking, the US Special Envoy to Yemen.

The Foreign Ministry said in a statement: “In the meeting, they discussed developments and efforts related to enabling and sustaining the truce in the sisterly Republic of Yemen, as well as supporting the efforts made and enhancing confidence and constructive dialogue between all Yemeni parties and forces. In this context, the two sides affirmed their support for the efforts of the UN Secretary-General's Envoy for Yemen, Hans Grundberg, towards ending the war and entering into a comprehensive political process that meets the aspirations of the brotherly Yemeni people in achieving security, stability and peace for the Republic of Yemen and in reconstruction, development and prosperity.”

 “The US Special Envoy for Yemen expressed his appreciation for the support and efforts of the Sultanate of Oman's government in this regard,” the Ministry added.
