Muscat: Orpic hired the most graduates in 2016, according to the Ministry of Higher Education.
The 2017 Graduate Survey has published the top ten companies in Oman that recruited graduates in 2016.
Topping the list is Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Company (ORPIC), followed by Oman Air in second place, and Bank Muscat in third place.
"One of the achievements we are proud of at Oman Air is our contribution to recruiting the largest number of graduates in 2016," Oman Air said online.
The survey was conducted by the Graduate Survey Department of the Ministry of Higher Education and began in January.
The aim of the survey was to evaluate the extent of knowledge, skills and abilities acquired by graduates of academic years 2013-2014, 2014-2015, and 2015-2016, which qualify them to join the labour market.
More than 25,000 graduates holding qualifications from Diploma to PhD, responded to the survey said Dr. Fatima bint Said Al Hajri, Director of Survey.
Fourth and fifth place was held by Petroleum Development Oman and Halliburton, followed by Special Technical Services Oman, National Bank of Oman, Abraj Energy Services, Oman Airport Managment Company, and Bank Dhofar.
