Three arrested in Oman for possession of drugs

Muscat : The Royal Oman Police (ROP), has arrested three expatriates for possessing 10 kilograms of crystal, 7 kilograms of morphine and 19 kilograms of hashish with the intent to trade them.

"Monitoring and tracking operations carried out by the Directorate General for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substance resulted in the arrest of three Asians on charges of possessing narcotic substances with the intent to trade them. They were seized with 10 kilograms of crystal, 7 kilograms of morphine and 19 kilograms of hashish. The legal procedures are being completed against them," ROP said in a statement.

In another case, the North Al Batinah Governorate Police Command has arrested two Asians, one of whom is a woman, on charges of fraud and extortion. Legal procedures against them are being completed,” ROP said.
