Muscat International Airport wins Skytrax Star Ratings' 'Best Airport Staff Award' in Middle East

Muscat: Muscat International Airport has been awarded the “Best Airport Staff Award” in the Middle East, based on the Skytrax Star Ratings, Oman Airports announced.

According to Oman Airports, this award reflects the excellent work environment that the company provides to its employees, which in turn ensures Muscat International Airport’s status as among the best airports in the world.

Oman Airports provides a number of employee services, which reflect the high level of importance they place on the well-being of their staff, and the general well-being of the airports industry in Oman.

Furthermore, Oman Airports is constantly working on giving their employees the qualifications, training skills and experience to stay abreast with the latest developments in international airports management; and to be future leaders in the operation and management of airports in the Sultanate of Oman. Indeed, the company is proud to be a cornerstone for building an Omani generation that is willing and able to take responsibility for successfully operating and managing Oman’s airports.

According to Saud Al-Hubaishi, Acting COO, “The company provides its employees with a wide range of training programmes in various fields. Most of these are designed in line with the standards and practices recommended by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO). This task is carried out in order to support the aviation sector in the Sultanate, and meet the regulatory, operational, and safety and security requirements issued by ICAO and the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).”

“Oman Airports’ strategy is based on building human capabilities and taking care of them, as part of its endeavour to make Muscat International Airport among the top 10 airports in the world. To achieve this aim – as well as to achieve our aspiration of reaching 20 million passengers – we need qualified staff to contribute to the development of airports in the Sultanate of Oman within an integrated system. This requires having efficient and highly-qualified employees who believe in their crucial role in realising the company’s goals,“ Al-Hubaishi added.
