Muscat: An exhibition of Assemblage Art was opened under the auspices of Her Highness Sayyid Alia bint Thuwaini Al Said, Chairperson of the Omani Women Association at Bait Al Zubair in Muscat on Tuesday.
The exhibition displays over 25 artworks for twenty-six artists from the Arab and other countries, besides a group of Omani artists.
Assemblage art is a form of abstract artwork that is more challenging and demanding, which is the reason for organising the exhibition under the theme “Assemblage Artwork”, said Indian artist Dr. Shalini Kumar, supervising the exhibition.
She added that all artists taking part in the exhibition would love this “outside the box” thinking and the assemblage art and creation of new items that represent abstract art.
The exhibition, which comes within the keenness of Bait Al Zubair for enriching the cultural scene, would continue to 30 June and would be open for the public from 9am to 5pm on a daily basis except Friday.
