Muscat: ABQ Education Group’s longest established school, ABQ Azzan Bin Qais International School is moving to a new campus in Muscat for the start of the 2022/23 academic year.

Celebrating its 32-year existence this year, the school has built a remarkable reputation over the years for academic excellence, extraordinary achievements in- and outside the classroom, unique student development programmes, passionate staff and dynamic graduates.

ABQ Azzan Bin Qais International School has just announced that the entire school will move to the spacious campus in Madinat Al Sultan Qaboos utilised until recently by ABA Oman International School.

ABQ Education Group Chief Executive Office, Humayun Kabir says, “The new ABQ Azzan Bin Qais International School campus is 100% in line with our vision to be the K-12 education provider of choice in our communities. The new location allows for a larger student population and enables expanded programme offerings, whilst maintaining a close sense of belonging and care. However the larger, more flexible learning spaces better reflect and align with our innovative approach to teaching and learning.”

“The new location just off the Muscat Express Way has remarkable facilities, is conveniently situated and will help us provide an even better learning experience to our 1200+ students. ABQ Azzan Bin Qais has been in its current location since 2003 and we look forward to this exciting new phase of growth and expansion”, says Jacques Tredoux, the school’s principal.

The land size is more than double the size of the existing campus. Other features school parents can look forward to are the remarkable auditorium that can accommodate close to 500 guests, an amphitheatre for outdoor productions, larger classrooms, two indoor gyms, three tennis courts, washrooms in each KG classroom, and substantially more parking facilities.

The Parent-Teacher Association Chairperson, Dr Marwa Al Kalbani says, “The students can look forward to the same excellent education standards, the laughter and engagement with peers, their passionate teachers and the wide variety of development opportunities - but in an even bigger and better learning environment. I am very excited for the students!”

Other schools in the ABQ Education Group are Seeb International School, located in a state-of-the-art facility, and Sohar International School which moved into its world-class, purpose-built campus in August 2019.
