Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP), has arrested two people for violating cybercrime laws in Oman.
"The Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigation arrested two people on charges of violating the Law on Combating Information Technology Crimes by filming video clips of women victims in violation of public morals, and promoting the sale ofpornographic films through social media platforms," ROP said in a statement.
ROP stresses the necessity of observing public morals and respecting social principles and values when dealing with social media.
