In line with key objectives of Oman Vision 2040, O! Millionaire initiative seeks to protect the environment and conserve Oman’s rich biodiversity. It also aims to contribute towards the country’s efforts to reduce carbon footprint and promote food security in alignment with the United Nation’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
The programme will combine expertise in sustainable development, clean energy and organic food production to achieve its goal. Above all, it will mobilise people of Oman to be part of a greener, cleaner, cooler Oman that is both water and food secure.
A spokesperson for Millionaire Investment LLC said, “Oman’s march of development is full of indicators in terms of protecting the environment and preserving natural resources. The objective of O! Millionaire is to support future environmental markers. For instance, our tree-planting initiative supports Oman’s efforts towards climate action and food security. The programme will control CO2 emissions from transport and industry through higher oxygen production from trees. By planting food- producing trees, it will establish food security for the future of Oman. We will work towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, protecting people from the harmful effects of the environment, and effectively managing it to create a safe and prosperous society.”
While being a sustainable space for people to connect with nature and their community, it will be a hub for health-conscious visitors, with running and cycling paths, mechanical gym, and play parks for children.
It will have an innovation centre for food security solutions creating job opportunities and providing hope for the future of Oman, a sustainability centre for education and engagement of the public and an ideal spot for school and family trips too.
The green certificate which participants buy to support the tree planting programme entitles them to an entry for a draw which can win them prizes up to OMR 5.2 million. The certificate gives participants two chances to win – one a raffle that pays out one winner OMR 10,000 every week and a draw that can win them prizes up to OMR 5.2 mn.
As part of the initiative 301 participants won at the fourth draw of the environmental initiative O! Millionaire and Oman resident Mohammed won the guaranteed sum of OMR 10,000. The draw is held LIVE every week on O! Millionaire’s social media pages (Instagram, YouTube channel, Facebook and Twitter) and website. Indian national Mohammed who won a prize money of OMR 10,000, said, “The prize money will make a lot of difference in my life. For just OMR 2.5 participants can win different amount of cash prizes every week. If there is no grand prize winner in a draw, every week a sum of OMR 50,000 will be added to the prize sum. There won’t have a mega winner till it reaches OMR 10,000,000 or someone wins it.
O! Millionaire has weekly prizes to motivate the green certificates buyers and owners. There will be a draw held every Thursday at 8 pm where one person can win every week the prize of OMR 10,000. The winner is selected by a certified Random Number Generator that will randomly choose one green certificate number. In addition, in O! Millionaire’s big draw the draw machine will select seven numbers from 1 to 44. This will have five winning categories: If the participant matches 7 out of the 7 numbers they will win the grand prize of OMR 5,000,000, if they match 6 out of the 7 numbers they will win OMR 50,000, 5 out of the 7 numbers wins them OMR 500, 4 out of the 7 numbers, you will win OMR 50 and if they match 3 out of the 7 numbers they will win OMR 1. For the first two categories, the prize will be split between the winners.
