Oman records presence of a rare lobster in this governorate

Muscat: For the first time, a rare Japanese blunthorn lobster has appeared in the coasts of the Arabian Sea, Wilayat of Mirbat, Dhofar Governorate.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources said: "There has been the first recording of the appearance of a rare deepwater Japanese blunthorn lobster in the coasts of the Arabian Sea in the Sultanate of Oman. The lobster was caught by a fisherman from the Wilayat of Mirbat using fishing cages at a depth of 230 metres."
