Eco-friendly initiative O! Millionaire’s tree-planting programme is conceptualized on the urgent need to revitalize the earth using trees’ natural abilities to reverse climate change. Trees occupy an important, significant, and necessary place in our very existence, in terms of both climate and atmospheric change. Eco-friendly initiative O! Millionaire aims to raise funds for the preservation of Oman’s natural environment through an efficient, socially responsible, and ethical tree-planting programme.
This tree-planting initiative supports Oman’s efforts towards climate action and food security. The programme will offset CO2 emissions from transport and industry through higher oxygen production from trees. By planting food- producing trees, it will establish food security for the future of Oman. Research shows trees could be planted to reduce CO2 emissions, therefore planting new trees is one of the most effective ways to reduce atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) and limit global warming.
It will combine expertise in sustainable development, clean energy and organic food production to achieve its goal. As part of the initiative, it will mobilise people of Oman to be part of a greener, cleaner, cooler Oman that is both water and food secure. It will also contribute towards the country’s efforts to reduce carbon footprint in alignment with the United Nation’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
A spokesperson for Millionaire Investment LLC said, “The objective of O! Millionaire is to raise funds for the preservation of Oman’s natural environment through an efficient, socially responsible, and ethical tree-planting programme. O! Millionaire will unite with communities to grow a greener, shadier, and more water-secure city by welcoming people to be a part of the tree-planting programme. We want to make the world a better place by going green globally; starting from Oman to everywhere else. To promote Oman as a natural sanctuary, the initiative will also create an Oasis Park - Middle East’s largest green park.”
The green certificate which environment conscious individuals purchase to support the tree planting programme entitles them to an entry for a draw. The certificate gives participants two chances to win – one a raffle that pays out one winner OMR 10,000 every week and a draw that can win them prizes up to OMR 5,150,000.
As part of the initiative 233 participants won at the third draw of the environmental initiative O! Millionaire and UAE resident Muhammed won the guaranteed sum of OMR 10,000. The draw is held LIVE every week on O! Millionaire’s social media pages (Instagram, YouTube channel, Facebook and Twitter) and website. To take part in the draw, participants can visit https://omillionaire.com/ website and purchase a green certificate worth OMR 2.5.
Indian national Muhammed who won a prize money of OMR 10,000, said, “I am delighted to contribute to the tree planting initiative by buying a green certificate.”
For just OMR 2.5 participants can win different amount of cash prizes every week. If there is no grand prize winner in a draw, every week a sum of OMR 50,000 will be added to the prize sum. There won’t have a mega winner till it reaches OMR 10 000 000 or someone wins it.
O! Millionaire has weekly prizes to motivate the green certificates buyers and owners. There will be a draw held every Thursday at 8 pm where one person can win every week the prize of OMR 10,000. The winner is selected by a certified Random Number Generator that will randomly choose one green certificate number. In addition, in O! Millionaire’s big draw the draw machine will select seven numbers from 1 to 44. This will have five winning categories: If the participant matches 7 out of the 7 numbers they will win the grand prize of OMR 5,000,000, if they match 6 out of the 7 numbers they will win OMR 50,000, 5 out of the 7 numbers wins them OMR 500, 4 out of the 7 numbers, you will win OMR 50 and if they match 3 out of the 7 numbers they will win OMR 1. For the first two categories, the prize will be split between the winners.
