Omani students develop drone to sterilise public places

Muscat: Omani students from North Al Batinah Governorate have developed the idea of a drone project to sterilise public places more quickly than manual sterilisation.

Oman News Agency (ONA) said that a number of electrical engineering students at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Shinas in the North Al Batinah Governorate are developing a drone project to sterilise public places and plan modern cities.

The idea of the project aims to disinfect and sterilise public places with a large area with high efficiency to protect people from direct contact with surfaces. It also sterilises public spaces more quickly than manual sterilisation at a high rate.
