Colombo: The death toll in the Easter Sunday bombings in Sri Lanka has risen to 290, while over 500 people were injured in the attacks according to police.
Police Spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara said 24 suspects had been arrested so far and investigations were ongoing to find more.
Two of the suspects were arrested in Dambulla on Monday morning, the spokesperson said.
Sri Lanka's Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said all arrested were local citizens.
President Maithripala Sirisena, who was abroad when the attacks happened, called a meeting of the National Security Council early on Monday.
