Citizen rescued from desert after losing way

Muscat: The search and rescue teams managed to find and rescue a citizen who was lost in the Empty Quarter desert in the Sultanate of Oman.

The Ministry of Defence said: "The Royal Air Force of Oman in Al Dhahirah Governorate carried out a search and rescue operation by a helicopter for a citizen who had lost his way in the desert area in Wilayat of Ibri (the Empty Quarter desert extension).

“He was found and quickly transferred to Ibri Hospital to ensure his safety and stability of his health condition,” the ministry added.
