Date for sorting of Hajj applications announced

Muscat: The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs (MERA) announced that next Sunday will be the date of the automated sorting and grant eligibility for the Hajj season of 1443 AH.

 The MERA said: "Next Sunday, the ministry will conduct automatic sorting and grant eligibility for the Hajj season for the year 1443 AH, and those who are eligible will have three days to contract through the electronic system with Hajj companies."

The ministry stated in a tweet the costs of service fees for institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for pilgrims of the Sultanate of Oman in Mecca for the 1443 AH season, and said: “The price of the pilgrimage route by air to Madina is 7,577 SAR, and the price of the pilgrimage route by air to King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah is 7,380 SAR.  The price of the pilgrimage route by land to Medina or Mecca is 915 SAR.”

The ministry clarified that these financial costs above cover: service fees, preparation of the Mina and Arafat camps, health insurance, and transportation costs, including 15 per cent value-added tax, and the cost of printing the Hajj card at OMR2.5.
