Muscat: Coastguards have found an Omani citizen who was reportedly lost in the sea near Barka.
He was found in his boat and is in good health, according to the Royal Oman Police.
The ROP received a distress call on Tuesday that a 29-year-old man has gone missing during a fishing trip.
Following a four-hour search, the Coastguards and Air Force, in cooperation with the locals, located the Omani man.
The search started at 2pm and ended at 6pm.
Police sources said the boat developed technical problems and he couldn't start the engine.
The ROP urges all citizens to take precautionary measures and refrain from fishing far from the coast and make sure the boat is in good shape.
